Activities at Karpenisi
The rivers of the area are considered among the best in Europe for Canoe, Kayak and Rafting. They offer every level of difficulty, from simple sailing for beginners to spectacular waterfalls to raise your adrenaline.
And, if you prefer a 4×4, you will find the perfect «performance track», for beautiful excursions along narrow dirt roads, or untrodden plains beside murmuring streams surrounded by centuries-old plane trees. Or, for the feeling of the true outdoors, there΄s mountain biking. And, if you prefer the air, there΄s paragliding.
An unforgettable experience is horse riding. If you don΄t know how to ride but would like to enjoy the sensation, you can participate in excursions (for large and small groups) organized by horse farms, with a riding expert.
And, the activity preferred by most visitors is ski. The ski centre is only 12 km from Karpenisi located at a height of 1800 meters. It has 10 slopes with different degrees of difficulty, with a variance of 300 meters in height. 7 lifts to accommodate 5.150 persons, shops for buying and renting equipment and a Ski school. Here there is the crossing of the European Path E4. It beggins from the Pirinae Mountains, crosses the Alps and runs through our country via the mountains of Pindou to finally end up in Krete.

Towards Agrinio – Megboba Bridge – Viniani (In Old Viniani there is a Museum of the Greek Resistance ) – Kerasochori – Kredi – Artificial Lake of Kremaston – Tatarna (tarmak – 1 hour 30 min).
4th Suggestion: Milia – Sella – Fidakia – «Karaouli»
Towards Agrinio, left in the 80th km – Milia – Sella – Fidakia – «Karaouli» with amazing view to the Lake of Kremaston (tarmak – 1 hour).
